Birthday celebrations

I am having difficulty accessing the Wiki, so I’ve decided to blog about something more thrilling. I’ll come back to the wiki, as it is so slow, very frustrating and crashes every time I try to save something…..

Well I had my birthday yesterday and in true fashion I always somehow stretch out the amount of celebrations I have around my birthday.

Bar at Buena Vista

It started last Thursday, we went to this fantastic show, the Bar at Buena Vista - Cuban music and dancing. The dancing was amazing. The oldest  man was 91 and he was singing and dancing too :-) It was sooooooooo good, I loved it. The show started it’s intertational debut here in Perth 6 years ago. I’d recommend going to see it, so much energy and we even got to have a boogie too. Makes me want to go to Cuba now and see the real thing!

Dinner

This was a great way to lead into Friday night’s dinner at Duende. We had an awesome dinner, it went on for 3 hours or so and the tapas were just devine. We had yummy mushrroms, beautiful sweet potato fritters, pork belly, and a whole lot more. Desert was so good too. A place I’d love to return too. The atmosphere and music is very funky. Definately one of my favourite places to eat tapas!

Well footy was a disaster, I thought the boys would win for me, but no such luck! The game was dreadful and freezing cold. Best thing was it didn’t rain and I got a Wirra Foundation hat. He’s my favourite player left from the oldies.

Monday – my actual birthday

I had to go to work, but it was sunny and quite a nice day. I took in some home made brownies and chocolates and the day went quite fast.

Yummy homemade tapas

Yummy homemade tapas

After my tennis lesson I came home and had a special dinner cooked for me, a selection of tapas: Eggplant fritters, tomato meatballs and spicy chrozio and tangy cheese tortillas – so yummy! I have my own Master Chef! :-) We had an awesome desert too: Cookie Crunch White Chocolate Mousse.

Presents, presents and more presents

Presents

Presents

I got totally spoilt :-) I got some awesome presents. Lots of things to keep me warm : scarf, 2 pairs of slippers, a fluffy dressing gown in my fav colour, a pandora bracelet, a canvas filled with trip photos, lots of little things, a couple of travel guides, a soup recipe book, and lots more!!!!

Thursday coming…..

We are going to Devilles for dinner. I can tell you about that next week.

Friday

I’m taking a flexi and we’re heading over to Melbourne to watch Carlton take on Eagles…. not sure who will win that one since both teams lost last week.

It was such an awesome week of festivities, and it’s not over just yet! Melbourne will be cold but it will be lots of fun!!!!!
